Come enjoy gentle movement and deep stretching. This class is appropriate for all levels of yoga experience. We will move through a few light flow sequences, followed by yin poses for deep stretching. Yin yoga is a primarily floor based practice that involves finding the perfect variation of a pose for each unique body, and then holding that pose for 3-5 minutes. Yin allows us to work into the deeper tissues of our ligaments, joints, deep facial networks and even our bones. These poses focus on stillness of the body and the mind, creating the opportunity for a meditative mindset. This is a gentle breath and movement based workout, designed to move energy, release blockages, and increase blood flow, providing an opportunity to bring healing to the body and mind. Please bring a yoga mat and any other props you have access to, such as a yoga blanket, yoga blocks, and/or bolster.
