« back to classes page

Let’s build a model railroad! Students will use math, science, engineering, and their creative skills to build a small static display of a model railroad. Using materials like wood, paint, glue, sand, water, roadbed, sandpaper, track, and plastic pieces, students learn how to create a mini piece of railroad history. Students also learn how to build a small layout, powering a railroad system, and how real railroads move freight throughout the country. This camp is for students entering grades 3-5.
