Yin Yoga is a restful practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. We will focus on deep, supportive, gentle poses that last 3-5 minutes and diaphragmatic breathing to calm the nervous system and help with respiratory and cardiovascular function. The remaining 30 minutes will be spent in Savasana with a guided meditation using a technique called Yoga Nidra. The class is appropriate for beginners to advanced-level students. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat with your favorite soft blanket. A lavender-scented eye pillow is included in the course fee.
