WOULD YOU LIKE TO TEACH OTHERS?
Poway Adult School is always looking for new teachers and class ideas. An expanding community education program like ours needs people like you.
According to William Draves in his book, How to Teach Adults, there are three important attributes of adult education teachers. Those attributes are: a love for the subject, a desire to share it, and a basic competence in the subject. Many of our community education instructors are artists, craftspeople, business people, counselors, lawyers, nurses, and others with a special talent or interest to share.
To learn more about our community education program, please register to attend a free, informational seminar - “Would You Like To Teach Others”. You can find information about the next seminar by clicking on the courses link in the blue menu bar on the left-hand side of this screen. These seminars are listed under the “Personal Enrichment” category.
You may also submit a course proposal form using the link below. Please note that classes are held at school sites within the Poway Unified School District.
Thank you for your interest in teaching for the Poway Adult School! We look forward to talking with you about your course ideas. |
