Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

This course prepares students to take the Nurse Assistant Certification Exam. Instruction covers basic nursing skills, medical terminology, basic anatomy and physiology and is taught by a licensed nurse. Students spend over 160 hours learning theory clinical skills. Theory hours are taught online via Zoom. Clinical skills hours occur in a Healthcare Facility. Students must have a computer with Internet, audio and video to participate in this course. 

The program meets Friday evenings on Zoom from 4:00-8:00 pm and in-person on Saturdays from 7:30 am-4:00 pm. Students MUST register for and attend one of the free online Information Sessions.  To be eligible to register for the course you must attend the mandatory in-person meeting on Wednesday, January 15th from 4:00-8:00 pm at Del Norte High School, room P116. No absences are allowed during the first 20 hours of this course.
