Sewing: Level 1- Basics

You can learn to sew! This class is for those with minimal to no sewing experience. The focus is on the basics: operating a sewing machine, selecting fabrics, laying out pattern pieces, reading basic pattern instructions and learning beginning construction techniques.  You will receive step-by-step instructions and demonstrations on how to install inter-facings, facings, zippers, hemming and more throughout the process of making 2 class projects. Patterns for a tote and zippered pouch projects will be provided, plus classroom sewing machines and tools will be available. Students will supply fabric and sewing notions.  Suggested supplies and project samples will be shared at the first class.
