Sewing: Level 1- Basics

You can learn to sew! This class is for those with minimal to no sewing experience. The focus is on the basics: operating a sewing machine, selecting fabrics, laying out pattern pieces, reading basic pattern instructions and learning beginning construction techniques.  You will receive step-by-step instructions and demonstrations on how to install inter-facings, facings, zippers, hemming and more throughout the process of making 2 class projects. Patterns for a tote and zippered pouch projects will be provided, plus classroom sewing machines and tools will be available. Students will supply fabric and sewing notions.
